// WRW History

WRW was originally founded in January 2006 by Jacksonville, Florida based business tycoon, John Paul Foley. Foley founded the company with the goal of creating the ultimate pro wrestling organisation, based upon skilled wrestlers, with politics a non factor.

But it didn’t happen that way.

At first, everything was bliss. Then, the politics took over. Wrestlers at the top of the card didn’t feel the need to continue to prove themselves. When faced with the choice between proving themselves, or walking away, they walked away.

And a new breed was born.

Led by the likes of Ryan Trent, Lynn Brewster, Kris Kage, Michael Reaper and Hale Collins, WRW prospered, and reached new heights, capped off at Hells Garden 2007, when Trent defeated Kage in the first ever Pyramid of Pain match to capture the WRW Redemption Title, which had been vacated following Lynn Brewster's departure.

And then, it all fell apart.

Foley was approached by Japanese entrepreneur, Koji Marujima. Marujima convinced Foley to combine alongside his HustlePro promotion, to create a global wrestling empire, known as Power Slam Pro. Two weeks after the deal was finalised, Marujima had left, without a word, and HustlePro employees left, now without their leader. This combined with severe injuries to a number of WRW stars, most notably rookie sensations, Corvus and Stephen Angelus, and long time veteran, Chris Blazer led to the cancellation of Power Slam Pro’s TV deal in early 2008.

Everything Foley had worked hard for, was in ruins.

In March, 2008, two months after the cancellation of Power Slam Pro’s Television deal, word surfaced that former HustlePro Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion, and WRW Head Booker, Steve Burke, formerly wrestling under the name Asylum, had tabled an offer for the shell of a company, backed by a consortium.

The deal was completed. The offices were relocated to Grand Rapids, Michigan. All wrestlers had their contracts voided. Some were offered new deals. Some were told they would never be allowed back. It was a new day. That day is now. WRW is back. And it’s not going anywhere.

// What is WRW?

WRW is an online wrestling e-fed. To those of you who are unfamiliar with what an e-fed is, think of it as an RPG. You create a wrestler, and you write his promos, in an attempt to out-RP your opponent(s). The better promo(s) win.

// How do I join? Where can I see the card? Where can I read results? Where do I promo?

There is an application on our forum. The upcoming card can be found by clicking, guess where? That's right, the "Upcoming Card" button to your left. Once the show is posted, you can find it in the "Previous Matches" section of the web site. You promo on the boards.
